New House

Wyatt and I found a new apartment!!!  I am so so so excited!!!  It's like Christmas.  I can't wait to move in.  It's not soon enough!!!  We get the keys on the 27th of this month:)  What a great day!!!  Now everyone that's been to our apartment knows how old it is and the lovely green carpet and all those fun things that come with an old basement apartment.  I think of it kind of like quitting some jobs-  it's not that bad- until you get something better... then you can't wait to be rid of it.lol.  Our new place has new shaggy tan carpet, a dishwasher,  big windows, nice light fixtures instead of our florescent lighting, and is just big and nice all around- oh yeah, and a bathtub, and grass and I can walk to the mall!!!  Can you tell I'm excited!!!  So I want to decorate a little differently now.  Now that our place is nicer, we won't have to over decorate to compensate.lol.  These are some ideas for my kitchen....house... etc....  I love these colors!!!

Summer, Summer

I am so excited for summer to come!!!  So many good things have been happening lately and they're just going to get better.
1.  Joshua hit 12 pounds about a week or so ago.  He's growing so fast!!!  Our little man.  I feel like he's twice the size of little Lynlee Smith (his girlfriend- born a week before him).  She's so cute!!!
2.  We redeemed our 7 peaks passes and can now go to Owls games, Utah Flash games, Mini Golf, Mini Race cars, Laser Tag, Seven Peaks Waterpark, Batting Cages and more for free!!!  So great!!!  It's going to be so nice to actually be able to go outside this summer rather than being stuck inside the whole time.  It's been years!!!
3.  Wyatt is graduating and has a full time job that he loves.
4.  Both our families are coming for graduation and Josh's blessing
5. It's almost Memorial Day!!!  Okay, not almost- but kind of :)  I'm so so so excited! I LOVE memorial day and this year Josh gets to see all his cousins!!! He doesn't know it yet, but he's very excited!!!
6. Riley and Talia are getting married on June 30th!!!  More family time!!!  and at the 4th of July!!!  My favorite holiday!!!
7.  We get to move into a new and improved house!!!- "We don't know exactly for sure where yet"- anyone know where that's from? It's going to have internet and maybe T.V. and our very own thermostat.
8.  Aspen Grove in Aug. All the cousins from my mom's side!  So much fun.  I can't wait!  Last time we went to Aspen Grove a few years ago I missed most of it from Finals week.  Lame.
I can't wait for summer!!!

So I just got Josh on a schedule and it's wonderful!!!!  So great!!!  It's actually easier than not being on a schedule- as weird as that sounds.  This great lady in my ward back home gave me the book Baby Wise.  It's an amazing book and every new mother should read it!!!  I started following it and it's the best thing I've ever done!!!  I kind of followed it at the beginning (I skimmed the book before he was born) so it was a pretty easy transition.  Josh was the perfect baby- besides nursing- the first two weeks, then he was pretty hard and cried quite often- then I started this routine and he is the happiest baby ever!!!  I love it!!!  Everyone loves a happy baby right?

Joshua Update

See my balding baby?  I just about died when his beautiful hair started to fall out.  At the very end it looked BAD so I decided to get over it and shave it.  I cried and cried and cried.  It probably looks better but I have no pictures because I can't stand to look at it.  He lives in hats now...  Hopefully it grows back-evenly and soon.

Our little boy is growing so fast!!!  I can't believe how quickly they grow at this age.  He is such a good baby.  He was the PERFECT baby for the first two weeks of his life- except for nursing.  I'm sure I will come to love nursing but I can definitely see why people don't do it.  He has his moments- now that he's awake more- but overall he's a very good baby as long as I don't eat chocolate.lol.  He's so cute and very alert.  I love it!!!  I feel like he knows who I am and he makes funny facial expressions in reaction to what I'm doing.  He is so wonderful.  Wyatt is the best dad in the whole world!!!  He is so cute with Josh and just loves him so much!!!  I love being a mom!!!

He's here!!!

Our little Joshua is finally here and almost a month old!!!  I can't believe it.  It has gone by so fast!!!  He was born on January 31st at 10:35 am and was 21inches long and 7pds 10ounces.  He is now 9pds 4 ounces and is growing so fast!!!  I can't believe how cute he is and how much we love him!!!  It is so wonderful being a mom!!!
